Name your conversation (optional), then choose the "conversation language" (what the other person speaks) and the "translation language" (what you want to read). Tap "Other speaks" or "I speak" at the top to switch. The system labels who said each line.点屏幕上方「对方说」或「我说」切换，系统会标注每句话是谁说的。

Pause / Mute暂停 / 静音

The control bar stays hidden by default — tap the transcript area to slide it up. Pause stops recording temporarily; mute turns off the microphone. It auto-hides after 4 seconds.底部控制栏默认隐藏，点一下翻译记录区域滑出：暂停（临时停止录音）、静音（关闭麦克风），4 秒后自动收起。

End结束会谈

Use a phone if possible推荐用手机

Phone microphones generally pick up speech better than laptop mics, especially when the phone sits between two people.手机麦克风的拾音能力普遍比电脑强，两人对面坐时，手机放中间比笔记本收音更均匀。

Quiet settings (cafés, offices, meeting rooms) work best. Very noisy spaces (exhibition halls, peak-hour restaurants) may cause missed words.安静环境（咖啡厅、办公室、会议室）翻译最准；嘈杂环境（展会大厅、餐厅高峰）可能漏字。

Exhibition halls are the hardest environment for speech recognition. For best results: (1) Use Expo Mode (top-right toggle in the meeting screen) — it raises microphone sensitivity and applies stronger noise filtering. (2) Move to a quieter corner or aisle edge if possible. (3) Place the phone 30–50cm from the speaker, screen facing up. (4) Speak one at a time — avoid talking over each other. (5) For critical numbers (prices, quantities, dates), confirm verbally after the translation appears. Background may pause recording切后台可能暂停录音

When the browser goes to the background (switching apps, taking a call, locking the screen), the system may suspend recording. Keep MeetFree in the foreground or use split-screen. It auto-resumes when you return, but audio during the background gap is not recovered.手机浏览器切后台（回微信、接电话、锁屏）时，录音可能被系统挂起。建议保持 MeetFree 在前台或使用分屏；回到前台会自动恢复，但后台期间的声音不会补录。

Closing / refreshing the browser关闭 / 刷新浏览器

Closing the tab, refreshing, or a browser crash ends the current conversation immediately. Translated content up to that point stays in your browser's history; the sentence being spoken at the moment of interruption may be lost.关闭标签页、刷新页面或浏览器崩溃，当前会谈立即中断。中断前的内容保存在本地「历史会谈」中，但中断瞬间正在说的那句话可能丢失。

Why these numbers

MeetFree is priced against the thing it replaces, not against other apps. A pair of translation earbuds costs roughly $299 up front and covers one person. A professional interpreter costs more than this in a single morning. MeetFree runs in the browser on the laptop you already own, covers the whole table, and costs $19.9 a month after a free fortnight.

What we do not charge for

  • The AI summary. It is part of the product, not an add-on — the free plan gets exactly the same summary as Pro.
  • Exporting. Both languages, as often as you like.
  • Guests. The person across the table never needs a licence.

Billing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment service provider. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout, and the charge appears on your statement as MeetFree (ALLYTECHX LIMITED). Annual plans are billed once and run for twelve months; monthly plans renew until cancelled, and you can cancel from your account at any time.

Prices are shown in US dollars. If you are outside the United States, your bank may apply its own conversion or foreign transaction fee — that part is not ours to set.

1. What MeetFree is

MeetFree is software that translates speech during a face-to-face conversation and keeps a bilingual transcript of it, together with an AI-generated summary. It is a translation aid. It is not a certified interpreter, and it is not a substitute for legal, medical or financial advice.

MeetFree is operated by ALLYTECHX LIMITED, a private company registered in Hong Kong with its registered office at Room E, 10/F., Full Win Comm. Centre, 573 Nathan Road, Mongkok, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

2. Accuracy, delay, and your duty to verify

Machine translation can be wrong, incomplete, or late — particularly on a slow connection. MeetFree is not designed to be relied upon for anything legally binding, safety-critical, or medically significant.

Where a decision matters, confirm it in writing or with a human interpreter. You remain responsible for the decisions you take during and after a meeting, and for anything you sign.

3. Your content

Audio is processed in order to translate it and is not stored by us. The transcript is kept in your own browser, on your own device. We cannot read it, and we cannot recover it for you.

Export your transcript before you close the page, switch devices, or clear your browser data. We have no copy to restore, and this is the one thing we genuinely cannot help you with.

4. Plans, trials and payment

The free plan runs for fourteen days from activation and allows up to 45 minutes of translation per day. After that period, translation stops until you subscribe. Pro is $19.9 per month, or $199 per year.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment service provider. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy: ask within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full, no reason needed.

5. Recording other people

You are responsible for complying with the law where you are. In some countries and some states, recording or transcribing a conversation requires the consent of everyone taking part. Obtain that consent before you start.

6. Availability

MeetFree depends on your network and on third-party translation services. We aim to be reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and features may change or be withdrawn.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to MeetFree is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.

We do not want your meetings. Here is exactly what we keep, and what we deliberately do not.我们不想要您的会谈内容。下面说明我们到底保留什么，以及我们刻意不保留什么。

1. The short version

We keep the minimum needed to run your account and your plan. Your transcript stays on your own device. We hold no audio, no transcript and no summary.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address, and the sign-in method you chose.
  • Your plan and trial status, and when your trial began.
  • How many minutes of translation you have used, and when.
  • How many meetings you have held and how long they ran.
  • Your language preference, so the site opens the right way round.

3. What we do not collect

  • The audio of your conversations.
  • The text of your transcripts.
  • The content of your AI summaries.

None of these are stored on our servers. This is a design decision, not a marketing line: a meeting about a contract is not something we want to be responsible for holding.

4. Where your transcript actually lives

In your browser's local storage, on your own device. If you clear your browser data, or open the site on a different device, it will not be there. That is the trade-off you get in exchange for us not holding it.

5. Who else is involved

  • Stripe — secure payment processing and invoicing for subscriptions.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Alibaba Cloud Model Studio — the translation and summarisation models that process audio in real time.
  • Render — application hosting.

Each of these processes data only as far as needed to provide their part of the service.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language choice. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not track you across other sites.

7. Your rights

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection law, you may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Retention

Account and usage records are kept while your account is open, and for a short further period where tax law requires it. Deleting your account removes the personal data we hold. It cannot remove transcripts that only ever existed on your device.

Refunds退款政策

Fourteen days, full refund, no reason needed. Here is exactly how it works.十四天内全额退款，无需理由。下面是具体规则。

1. The short version

Ask within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full, for any reason. After 14 days you can still cancel at any time, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.

2. Within 14 days

Write to us within 14 days of a payment and we refund that payment in full. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to have used the service. If you paid for a year, we refund the whole year.

3. After 14 days

We do not refund periods you have already paid for, but you can cancel whenever you like. Cancelling stops the next charge, and your Pro features stay on until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your account then returns to the free allowance.

4. The free trial

Your first fourteen days are free — 45 minutes a day, every feature on. Nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. If you do not upgrade, the trial simply ends and no payment is taken.

5. How to ask

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and tell us the date of the charge. That is all we need.

6. When the money comes back

Refunds are issued through Stripe, our payment provider. Once a refund is approved it usually reaches you within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We cannot make your bank go faster.

7. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with consumer protection law, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. This policy sits alongside that right and does not reduce it. Where the law gives you longer than this policy does, the law wins.

8. What we may refuse

We may refuse a refund where an account was closed for abuse — for example reselling access, sharing one account between many people, or repeatedly working around the free allowance. We will always tell you the reason.
